Gamekeeper's Wedding - Georgia & Adam
We absolutely LOVE hosting your weddings here at The Gamekeeper's Inn and creating a day that's perfect for you is a wonderful feeling. We've asked some of our happy couples to relive their special day with us by filling out a little questionnaire so we could share a little bit of the magic with you too!
Please tell us your and your husband's names Georgia and Adam
The date of your wedding with us? 15th July 2022
How did you meet?
We met on the 29th May 2015, it was the day of my grandma’s funeral. My friend met me afterwards, and we went to McDonald’s for a coffee. I saw another friend parked up so I went over to say hi. Parked next to him was Adam, and the rest is history as they say!
How did he propose?
Adam proposed on 3rd July 2019. At this point I genuinely thought he would never ask me to marry him! He proposed in Fuente Alamo De Murcia in Spain, overlooking a golf course and mountains. We had stood there to take some pictures, little did I know it was all being videoed. My dad finished taking photos, I started to walk away and Adam shouted me back, as I turned around he was on one knee. It was perfect.
Tell us about your stag and hen celebrations!
Adam and his stags went to Newcastle for go-karting, paint-balling and a lot of drinking! His brother/best man did all the planning. My hens and I went to Whitby for the weekend for games, eating and drinking, and stayed in a house on the seafront.
What was your wedding theme?
We went for a green, floral/botanical theme with lots of leaves and white flowers.
Tell us about your outfit!
I wore a Morilee dress supplied by Bridal Oasis in Goole. Amazing shop! All hair and beauty was by myself.
Who were your bridesmaids?
I chose my friends Tara, Olivia, and Niki to be my bridesmaids, and my sister Laura as my maid of honour. All their dresses were from JJ's House online. My daughter River, aged 2, was my flower girl.
Who were your groomsmen?
Adam's brother Jason was his best man, and the page boys were our nephew Luca and our daughter Aubrey.
Tell us about your flower arrangements!
Our flowers were supplied by Janine at Ello Flower in York. Ello Flower also supplied our table settings.
What did you give as wedding favours?
For our wedding favours we chose scratch cards in wallets for the adults, and for the children we had chocolate love-heart lollies with their names written on as well as colouring canvases.
What food did you provide for your guests on the day?
The Gamekeeper's Inn handled all of the catering. We had a wedding breakfast for our 81 day guests, and we chose to have a buffet for our 98 evening guests.
What entertainment did you have?
For the evening reception we hired professional DJ Ed Marshall from Harrogate, who we found on The Gamekeeper's Inn's list of recommended local suppliers.
Who did your photography and wedding video?
Our photographer was Lee Clayton at LJC Photography. Our videography was done by Media Mavericks.
Tell us about your wedding cake!
We had a 3 tier wedding cake supplied by Amanda Earl Cakes in Harrogate, with a chocolate tier, a vanilla and strawberry tier, and a lemon cake tier.
What was your first dance song?
Jake Isaac - You and I Always.
Where did you have your honeymoon?
We had our honeymoon at the Laceby Manor Resort in Lincolnshire.
