Once you have completed the trail, why not take the trail sheet home and enter the ‘Design a Bunny’ competition? The winner will see their bunny design brought to life in the 2024 Easter Trail and receive a Bolton Abbey Season Ticket!
Easter Art Club at Skipton Town Hall
If you have children aged 10-18 years who love to get crafty and creative, come along to the Easter Art Club at Skipton Town Hall on Monday 3rd April.
Sessions will take place from 10am to 12pm then 2pm to 4pm for young people to try out new art and craft techniques and make new friends. The team will guide you step by step to make some egg-citing Easter items to take home with you.

Ingleton Waterfalls Trail
Ingleton Waterfalls Trail is a stunning circular route through woodlands and glens, with incredible views and a well defined footpath. This trail is just over 4 miles long, around the mid way point you’ll find a grassy area that is perfect for a picnic, including a great view of Thornton Force, the most famous and spectacular waterfall on the trail. From here you’ll hike up into the hills, where you’ll usually find an ice cream van at the top to keep the kids motivated!
Bolton Abbey
The enormous estate of Bolton Abbey, just outside of Skipton, makes for a perfect day out with something for all the family and spectacular views at every point.
Explore the incredible Gothic ruins of the Priory, have a picnic by the gently meandering River Wharfe and walk along the many woodland and moorland paths. You’ll also find a variety of local produce in the restaurants and cafes, and unique gifts in the gift shop.
Skipton Castle Woods
From Skipton, this woodland route follows the canal down to Skipton Castle Woods. This is a great family friendly walking route takes 1 hour to complete. You can pack yourselves an Easter picnic or stop by any of the cafes in the centre of Skipton.
West Burton Falls
West Burton Falls is a waterfall on the Walden Beck, also known as Cauldron Falls because of its spectacular plunge pool, just a short walk from the idyllic village of West Burton. This is one of the more accessible waterfalls in the Dales, with a pleasant beckside path leading to a great viewing spot for the main waterfall.
